my brother was a critical mass dealer as well as icon before they merged. this sub is stupid expensive as you know but there is nothing quite like it i assure you. the biggest difference between this and most supersubs is the neo magnets/lightweight. i heard one 12 in the back of an explorer and almost shit myself. it was powered by a huge beyma amp. (this guy had money)

The problem with the CMASS UL series imo is that for the price, you could buy a pair of a different brand's outstanding 'super subs' that would easily surpass the UL in performance. Cost isn't the only factor, but with the UL's price tag it automatically becomes a big factor for just about anyone. And the comparison is not flattering.

I have bought brand new UL's for as little as $450 and used for as much as $700

any way it goes the retail is rediculous, but the real market price really isn't that bad. Even at a grand each, they are by far the nicest sounding sub I have heard to date and they get really loud doing it, instead of farting under power. If you know what I mean.

They dont have high sensitivity...I'm going to guess its is around 83.5dB at 1 watt based on the limited TSP's on the website.

no, put i did stay at a holiday inn recently.......

and i brought my laptop........

and it had LEAP installed.......

and i pluged in the Fs, Qts and assumed Sd TPS's on the cm webiste into LEAP.......

and i made a ball part guess for the moving mass based on my experience measuring woofers........

and i made another ballpark guess for the Qms........

...... and got 83.5dB at 1 watt.

yes.

and I will say that they have got the stiffest suspension I have ever seen until they break in which can take a month or so
