linear design using MMAG

pros:

assumed linear xmax and low distortion

should reek the benefits of a linear design (linear-ish impedance with respect to voltage)

can be used in a sealed box without EQ

lightweight motor - wont kill your gas millage

cons:

very high Qts (due to low BL)

can't really port it without employing huge box otherwise its boomy

low sensitivity - less SPL (due to low BL)

$2000 msrp for a 12" -yikes!

You're not going to find a lot of people running them here because MOST are not willing to pay the cash for expensive equipment.

I belive the one employed in the UL-12 is a variation of that using a puck magnet (inside the vc)

I dont know where the drawing would be, you would have to check the patent variations.... they are like a million.

I have two, but haven't had a chance to plug them in yet. When I get a good review of them, I'll let you know.

Yeah, Im really just looking for some other user reviews of these subs. Im currently running in a sealed 1.3 per sub box. It sounds great, I probably wont ever want another sub, maybe another 3000D though......
