Creating a **** effect for L7 box.

and now the messy part

I put the bondo on and it hardened waaaay too fast (clumpy in >10 min) and created a lot of rough spots. More like mountains.







1st sanding with 80 grit sand paper





then bondo &150 grit sand





then bondo &150 grit sand

and got a looong way to go







 
You test to see if your subs will fit back in the holes since you placed the ring on/inside the sharpie mark? Also I would have made two rings, one of which could be placed inside the other. Mount the larger ring, stretch fabric over the surface, then mount the smaller ring inside the larger, then resin the material. Thats just my way though, Im sure this will work also.

say uck it and move up to 220 grit





notice all the tiny holes and imperfections



circle all the tiny holes with a sharpie and started the bono and sand process all over again with 220 grit.
