Crazy System Im building soon w/2 15" XXX's!!

cause he actually gave me good advice and didnt start out... Ohhh man thats gonna sound like crap you shouldnt do it.

Guys, I want to listen to your advice, but i have to do it on my budget. I cant go out and buy crazy *** speakers though. Put it this way. I have 1300 bucks for the 2 subs and A set of components +install. So i figure Id spend what, 1000 on the subs, 120 on the speakers and 180-200 on install. The reason why the install is so cheap is a whoooole other story, but it will be done neatly, and professionally.

Over 75% of your budget is going to .3% of the musical spectrum. I always found a really good front stage could almost be subless unless you were listening to really low end heavy music. I'd either upgrade the budget, or scale back the boom, that's just me.

Does this sound right. I called RE Audio yesterday to get a final price with shipping. They said it was 84_?.00 thats eight hundred and fourty something, with shipping???? Dont they sell for like 425 each. Do they give discounts for ordering more than one??

I think you should just give up on comps

just get your 2 XXX's and make a wall... listen to alot of drum & bass - you'll be happy.

if you do decide you want to hear instruments or words however, you'll need ALOT wait let me say it again *ALOT* more than your current budget to keep up with dual XXX's. Do not skimp on your comps just so you can have crazy sub bass, or you will end up with nothing but sub bass. You will not even be able to hear words or melodies if you have 145 db of bass overpowering 110 db of mids/highs. So again back to my previous suggestion: ditch the comps altogether and just listen to test tones all day.

It has begun. I just got another battery the other day, its a 600CC SVR Audio Series. I have 100 SQ. FT. of fatmat on the way.

I need to know if I HAVE to upgrade my wire gauge from 4 > 1/0 though. I have about 3400 watts running through my car, so Im pretty sure that I will need 1/0....right? or no?

Oh it has begun though, and it WILL be done. I will make 8 FT^3 work!!!
