Craziest system on stock ALT!!

great answer! thanks. I want to have about a 1600-1800 watt sound system. Dimming lights really do not bother me and I really do not listen to rap which is probably the most bass heavy. Voltage drops probably wouldn't bother me too much cause I really wouldn't know, hehe! I am by no means going to compete or do regular metering. With that being said I have a 2008 Honda Accord EX 2.4L 4cyc. I had an 1120 watt system on my old 2002 Accord for 3 years with no upgrades whatsoever except a 1.0F capacitor with no real issues except dimming lights at high volume. I want to upgrade now and the problem is I would buy a H.O. Alt no problem but they do not make one for my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif So I was gonna upgrade battery and Big 3 and was hoping I would be fine... what do you think AUDIOHOLIC?? thanks!

I think your plan is a good one. Upgrade the big 3, the batt, and then see what happens from there.

my homie has a 95 Monte Carlo.. a Stetsom 2k6 on 6 DD 2512s in a wall.. 0/1 wiring and 3 Big diesel truck batts in the trunk.. stock alt, stock under hood batt, no big 3..

does 150s easy on music daily.. will burp at car show with 2 2k6s on those 251s

This is what I did, and I have no dimming (probably due to the aftermarket HID conversion) I did the big 3 and upgraded batts and threw a big one in the trunk and it's fine. For my listening I will NEVER listen to it full tilt while I'm driving, mainly from 8-20 volume out of 35. I listen to rap, but most of the time am listening to rock / other music as well. I listen to everything except jazz and country pretty much, and pop.

For the way I listen to my stereo, I do not need a HO alt for now, and I definitely don't need the equipment I have. But I like having the good stuff, lol.

forgive me but what is a HID? sorry if that was a stupid question.

also why is keeping your voltage UP so important??? My thought is cause the higher the voltage the less current needed, thus the less heat produced, thus the electrical stays happy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif am I right or wrong?

I've had 12,000 watts and 4 stinger 1700's on a stock alt of a 02 ford focus.
What a shame that you didn't get to test it out, lol!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I ran 1200rms on my old *** Lanzar amp......when lanzar was decet, besides the opti's and my lights would blink at other cars........like I was herbie in love or something.

Got annoying!

This was on an 05 Focus ST by the way.

That was on stock battery and one kinetik 600 in the trunk.
