Crappy Amp Installation....HELP!!!!

you have to run the blue/white wire from off your hu to the rear where your amp is. the one on the car harness is for your cars factory amp

take a long piece of speaker wire tap 1 end to the blue/white on the hu and tap the other end to the amp where it says remote

ok I checked again...The [factory] remote wire (blue with white) just hangs there...I tried connecting it to the amp's blue remote wire and nothing...OK so now...Theres this plain blue wire that comes off the HU...BUt again...it just hangs there serving no purpose...I dont remember trying to hook it up to my amp...Ima try.

on the back of your hu there will be a blue wire take an about 20-16 ga wire run connect it to your hu (the blue wire) and run it to the back of the car and connect to youe amp ...

you can check your amps function by taking a small piece of wire and just connect the 12v input of your amp and remote if ir doesnt turn on make sure you have 1.a good ground 2. power coming to the amp (make sure your fuse isnt blown )

Ok...See the blue and white cable is NOT connected to the HU...It just comes off the factory harness...Now I just discovered the HU has one plain blue wire but it also just hangs there.

yes i think you got it the blue wire thats hanging there pointlessly is your remote wire ....

^ sounds like the plain blue is the remote.

BEST EXPLANATION SO FAR!!!!

ok...so thats how I did it the first time...I hooked the blue cable from the back of the HU to my amp but it didnt turn on. SO then I went to other cables with a 12V reading and nothing. Umm I pretty sure I have every other connection right...The power and the ground...But like I mentioned earlier...The cables leading to the amp have no terminals or rings...Reason was because the holes to insert the terminals in the amp were too small.

do you have power from the power wire from your battery??? check the fuse or you can buy a test light cheaper than a dmm and see if you got power

OK...Yes I will try to jump the amp...And I will run the remote turn on cable to the plain blue cable that just hangs there in the back of the HU...Hope it works...Thanks guy...I appreciate it so much...

jump the ****ing thing. that will tell you that the amp is going to work or not if you hook up the remote wire.
