Crap, there is a problem with my subs, they decreased in volume 90%

Most likely your gonna want to buy new rcas. My friends is like this theyll be loud like normal then if you bump his rcas or move them they lose all output but are still getting power.

so try moving them around on the amp and see if the output like cuts on and off because thats what i think it is.

how would i check if the wires became loose inside the speaker box, my system is completely sealed (the box is a custom box with plexi windows).... see thats what i thought was wrong all along, the wires just loose, i took them out of the amp and put them back in and nothing, still off. Funny thing is that the subs work every few days and then dont work for a few days. It really sucks! And no the amp doesnt go into thermal mode, it stays in regular mode throughout....

well if you had enough money to pay for that car, the t.v.'s, and all that audio stuff + installation then i think you should just fork out the cash and take it to an audio shop. they will actually be able to get their hands on it and tell you whats wrong with it better than anyone hear.

well the issue is not going to an audio place, the issue is me not having any time whatsoever to leave school and drive over to my audio shop. I simply dont have time to do that for another week at least, so i wanted to see what could be the causes so that i can possibly fix them.

It's a volt-meter. Handheld measuring thing for eletronics. Next time you notice the lowered output, grab your DMM (20 bucks at a hardware store) and check all your connection points. Check before the amp, check at the amplifier output, check at the terminals for the subs. This'll at least tell you where you're losing your signal.

It's probably a loose wire somewhere down the line. If it's coming in and out, and you moved something, even just a little bit, that's the most likely cause.

sounds to me like the amp is ohmed too low... whats the ohm load?
The amp is fine. And it's not "ohmed". How does one accumulate 1700+ posts on a Car Audio forum and not know that simple terminology.

Plus, those amps are super solid. It'll take 1.5ohms under normal conditions. 10W7s are single 3 ohm coils meaning he can't have too little resistance. That's not the problem. If it was, the protect light would go on.

Did you check to make sure your polarity switches haven't moved?
