Okay, so a few days ago, i decided to rewrap my panels, so i removed my panels and had to move my sub box, im thinking i might have done something here accidently while moving the sub box to get the panels out? I start my car last night, and my subs are basically off, they are moving, but you cant hear them barely. It seems as if the subs are not getting nearly enough power... i dont know what i could have done. the amps are all on, there are no lights on my jl amps beside the power light (thats how it normally is, just the green power light)... the subs are w7s 10s powered by jl 1000.1 please if anyone has any information for me i would greatly appreciate it, it really sucks that my subs arent working... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

move the sub box around may have done it. i dunno need more details. did you disconnect the batt before you unhooked the amp?? did one of the speaker wires touch a ground point?? head unit set? gains set?? check the general stuff and post more info

ok, literally all i did was lift the panels, and to take the panel out that covers the sub box, i had to move the sub box back so that i could take out the panel from the car. i didnt disconnect any amps or wiring, i moved the sub box back... the car was off when i did this...

I had a POS Pyramid Royal Blue (one 600w broken out of the box, and an 800w ..dont ever buy them, i went through 3 of their amps in a year...) And when the amp blew, the subs moved, but very slightly, and what was coming out sounded like garbled audio...

This could be unrelated to what you did with the box. If you have another amp, try swapping it out and see if its fixed. I swapped out the Pyramid for a RF2002 (600w) amp, and its real loud now!

no i definetly dont think the amp is blown.... it honestly seems like the subs are just not getting enough power... the subs still move to the beat of the music, they are just ridiculously quiet..

if oen of the wires inside the box on one of the voice coils came loose it would raise the ohm load which will lower the power output of the amp. i know those jl's do same power across all loads but that could be. you need to take them out and give some more info.

Did you turn the gain down by accident? Lol..

Like take a look at it, make sure everything is correct before you listen to people telling you the voice coils are out of alignment (ya right) or that your amp is blown.... lol.

ok a few days later, the subs were back to normal bumping like no other, and then yesterday morning, again they are out like 10% of what they usually are... it seems like they arent getting a steady supply of power or my battery is out or something... dont get it...

i have a JL 1000/1 b4 and it was under my back seat and some times i would go over a bump, and the amp would think it was over heating and the thermal light would go on (the amp cuts power by over half in this mode). so try moving the amp a lil bit...the smallest shake could set it right again. also it could be that the wires from the sub came off changing the ohm load.
