crap need an mtx 12" thunder 5000 sub

has to be 12 ohm... if anyone knows where I can get one it would be much appreciated. I put 3 of these in a box for a friend and I guess he blew one... pm me if you have one or know where I can get one....

lol no I need 12 ohm... I have 3 of em bridged on an amp at 4 ohms...

yes MTX made 4, 8, and 12 ohm versions of this sub. back in like 99-00 or so, I remember the brochure.

they are all black with "MTX" raised in black on the dust cap, the sorrounds outer edge is rounded and pretty sure it has small little rings around the screw mounting holes.

Side note, you sure they were all 12 ohm subs, one wasn't like a 4 ohm one recieving more power and smoked it?

when I did it everything looked good and all were moving evenly and Im pretty sure they were all 12, I bought them as a set on here one was bent up but i dunno if I could blame the person I bought them from or the shipping company....

he said it wasnt blown but sounded like something was loose.... I told him not to turn it up and wait for me to look at it, well he had all his friends look at it and a "professional" tell him his coil was loose... I asked if it was playing loud when he noticed it and he said no he was afraid to turn it up and blow them... I purposely put a smaller amp on them so he wouldnt blow him because he seems like quite the airhead and wouldnt know when to stop on volume... open the trunk and all you can smell is coil... mmmmmmm smokey coils... 1 is rubbing so I want to try to replace just that one but Ill prolly have to get him a pair of different subs if I cant find any, or maybe I can just tighten his loose coil lol
