COURT! Anyone been for serious charges? Got first date comin up, no lawyer

you can get a case/charge expunged if you wernt proven guilty. i believe you can only get it done once in your life as well. at least thats what ive heard. im getting mine taken care of because 3 felony possesion charges dont took look pretty on a record.

I had a small charge before but I wasnt technically charged with a crime, I appeared before a magistrate(sp?) and had a list of terms for probation. just a quick tid bit for the night: you do not need an attorney to expunge/seal records, but it is recommended to do it properly the 1st time.

Well, I think you should get your parents to raise as much cash as possible and get the best lawyer you can. Having that shit on your record is a life time of hard knocks. When going for jobs, it will be hard to explain. and sealed records means it is sealed. When a CORI is run, it will come back as 3 records found. They wont say whats in the records, but there will be records. I sincerly wish you the best of luck in your future. But thats what happens to ppl when they get involveled with drugs. I bet this wont be the last time you get popped for drugs.

i carry a concealed loaded gun with the safety off in my car 24/7
i hide it under my babies car seat so they never see it when i get pulled over

best part is i didnt even pay for it, i found the gun in a dumpster with almost a full clip

After reading your last post if you got caught with 3 bags and 7 pills on your person I would get a paid lawyer, chances are they may or are trying to charge you with distrobution. Here in MA when you have it in more than one bag it is very easy to get intent and with the pills I would imagine it will be even easier for them.

You obviously are a sucky *** drug dealer, I would suggest learning from this with whatever you end up doing and finding another profession before you **** up your entire life. From the way you are already willing to plea or take any type of guilty verdicts just to stay out of jail it definately sounds like you need to get your head on straight.

Whatever you do please do not plea guilty unless it looks like there is no way you are getting out of it. That stays on your record for a very long time usually before you can get it sealed. It takes 15 years here in MA to get it expunged, I am almost 10 into it and trust me it sucks.

Oh yeah and to the OP, after seeing that you actually had the X in your possession I would definitely get an attorney. With that and the pellet gun and the weed your not going to be in a good spot.

I did NOT have the E pills on me, nor the weed. They never even asked me if they could search the car I dont think, but obviously he will say that he did.

I'll lay it out. The weed was in the center console, easy find, then they decided to search the car completely, thats when they found the E, it was in the sunglasses thing above your head, he came out of my car with them and asked " what are these " I took a hard look and said " I dont know where did you find them there not mine " He simply turned around and kept searching, not a single word was ever mentionned about them again, not once and I was charged, strip searched and released.

About this whole public defender thing, is that really a bad idea? Do they not fight for you? Like im 21, only one MINOR thing that might still be on my record from a few years ago, just started a new job, living on my own, going to school for an apprenticeship.

Will they honestly put me in jail for this? Im in canada btw if it matters, toronto is where it happened. I could care less if anything is on my record or I get a big fine or anything, jail is what I want to avoid, but I dont want to pay a lawyer $3000+ to keep me out when a public defender could do the same.

So I can go into court this friday, say I will be hiring a lawyer and turn down the public defender, and then have a little while to change my mind and hire the public defender? (might possibly look for a real lawyer in the mean time, but i really dont have much $$)

PD is ok for really easy shit, say first offense and you were caught with a joint or something. They do not fight very hard for you.

Couple grand you can PROBABLY get out of this, you may do some joke of a sentence like two weeks or something and probably can not have a record if you do everything they tell you to do.

No matter if it was on you or not you are going to get charged, if it was under your passengers seat or something you may have a better chance but being in the console means you knew it was there (or at least that is how they say it)

Just pony up a couple grand for a lawyer, should be 2-3k. What is your prior charge for?

in YOUR car = its in your possesion.

thats how they see it. no way around it unless you got a mean *** lawyer and you plan on fighting the case. but it gets expencive and doesnt always turn out good.

And my prior charge was for public mischief, my crx was broken into and they stole my turbo/intercooler/bov and some gauges, instead of claiming those parts (my insurance thought my car was stock) I claimed that some stereo shit was stolen. Was a weird charge, just got probation since it was my first offence. a stupid offence

yes you do care about a record, don't kid yourself. Having a drug charge on your record is a big X for any potential employer.
