COURT! Anyone been for serious charges? Got first date comin up, no lawyer

I was an idiot last month and got charged with possession and concealed weapon. The weed was mine, few pills of extacy were my friends, and I had a pellet gun in the back of the car, but they thought it was real so I got charged with concealed weapon.

I have my first court date coming up, I believe youre first appearance is just to say guilty or not guilty right and they set an actual court date for you?

I havent hired a lawyer yet, Ive made some calls but very few are returned. I was wonderring if I could go in to this first day alone and was wonderring what to say. Should I admit to the weed being mine or should I say not guilty and let the lawyer sort it out......

btw, for the 3 charges, the court DAY is all the same, but the 2 drug ones are in one courtroom in the morning, and the weapons charge is in the afternoon in another courtroom, if it makes a difference.

I was hoping they would understand it was just a pellet gun and wasnt loaded and no ammo in the car and that it was just for target shooting and such, but I dont know if it being hidden will hurt me at all, like its a freaking $40 crappy pellet gun that barely worked

GET an attorney and try to get it all expunged.

ur lucky it was a pellet gun they wil prob let u off for that just tell em u forgot it was in the car u used it 3 weeks earlier

why would u ride around with a pellet gun???

X is a serious charge some states do per pill charges so look into the laws for ur state for possesion

in FL i know if i get caught with my gun and someone has drugs in my car even tho not mine min 3 years prison and i have a concealed liscense

old shit, started in 99 in SMALL county 100mi south of here with DUI/poss charges, got probation and never went. Got locked up again 04 SAME F'N COUNTY for theft, plead the PTR and got the theft reduced to misdemeanor conversion, got probation AGAIN and never went back lol. They got me in indy just before new years for walking down the street and i decided to take the jail time and get it over with. i been f'n with em for 10 years almost. back in the day the little county wasnt linked to indianapolis via computer so no warrant showed up here, not anymore lol.

First of all,plead 'NOT Guilty'.It is ,'"was" a pellet gun.If you are on Parole,it depends on what your P.O. does.Parolee with a firearm{pellet gun]is an automatic 1 to 2 year enhancement.The car being 'yours 'means that you are responsible for controlling what is in your vehicle.If this is your first-offense,no priors-no-probation/parole--I would reccomend a good P.D. [public defender]Plead not-guilty-what was your bail????1st. time --3-to 5 years probation and any other stipulations that the court may incur.I live in San Diego co. Both of those drug charges are slaps on the wrist, but the gun charge is a felony. Thats a big nut to crack.

If they dont want to play, take it to trial, and fight the drug charges too.

do not plead to the x that is a big charge and the reason you have 2 diff rooms is 1 is a fed crime and the other is state

DIY it...every person knows that. Or, hire an attorney and try to withhold adjudication. Let's repeat this: Do not go to court on your own, hire a competent attorney.

oh and get a very good lawyer my best friend had 10 x pills in 2 diff boxs and he got hammered 30 years suspend 15 do 7 1/2 15 year probation no good stay away from that drug
