couple SX questions

ive been out of the car audio scene for awhile, last time i was on here, you could by the CDT components for 149.99 from the zeb because they were painted wrong (if anyone can remember back that far). any way i got rid of my durango and 15" L7, and got a car. a 05 mustang gt, i installed a system for my friend and now i want one for myself haha. anyway am looking for SQL but more SPL than SQ, so i figured a 12" SX would suit me good, but im open to suggestions. how will the SX (ported to RE specs) compare to my old L7 (see sig) SPL wise and i also dont want to put anything to heavy in the truck and slow my car down, so how much would a 12" SX in a 2 cuft box weigh? thanks

IMO I think the L7 will be louder only because it's a larger sub. But sq wise, the SX will be much better. I'm guessing a ported box with the sub will weigh about 75 lbs or so

It's been a while since I've had my SX.

I had a 15'' in a box built to specs in an SUV. It wasn't bad but wasn't great.

It got plenty loud off >900watts.

Right now everybody seems to like the HDC3s from Audioque. They may be what you're looking for.
