Could i wire 3 subs this way? Kicker CVR's

Right now i have two kicker cvr 12's. They are dual 4 ohm. I was thinking of adding a third.. Right now my shit works bets on a 2 channel amp doing 2 ohms to each sub. (but i dont have an amp right now so it dont matter) I was thinking of adding the 3rd and making it a dual 2 ohm. And wire it all upto one Mono amp. I assume it would be safe as long as i get the ohms right for the amp cuz the voice coil config. is only to give you wiring options right?

So basically i want to wire up two dual 4 ohm subs and make it a final output of 4 ohms, THEN i want to wire up the dual 2 ohm sub making it another 4 ohm output, THEN I want to wire those together and get a final output of 2 ohms. Will this work?

Sorry if that was confusing i tried my best to explain haha.. Im thinking it will be 2 ohms final output but i dont really know for sure. Any help is appreciated.. Thanks in advance..

Ill try to explain better..

Two dual 4 ohms subs wired to 4 ohms final output, Then the dual 2 ohm will be wired upto 4 ohms output, THEN All three will be wired together for a final 2 ohm ouput.

I dont see how they would be getting double the power tho. It would be hooked upto a mono amp so it would divide the power to all 3. I wouldnt be using a 2 channel amp.

like so, correct?

Yes like that.. Couldnt i wire all that up to get a final output of 2 ohms and then wouldnt it divide the power through out them all since its a mono amp?

I ran into a similar dilemma, I wanted to run 4 D2 CVRs and 2 D4s at a .5 ohm load and everyone told me not to do it because of the unequal power distribution, but I havent had any issues yet, so If you think that 1 CVR will not blow then go for it

that makes it even more pointless

if he runs it so that "one CVR wont blow", then the other two are being extremely underpowered.

What amp are you using and how does that sound? Ported or sealed box/s?

I dont understand haha. The way i see it is that they will all be wired up together getting a final of 2 ohms, So then it would split the power through out all of them, If this is wrong can someone try and give me as simple of explenation of why this is wrong? Thanks

If you're going with a mono block then you have to look at it as all 3 being wired together, even if the amp appears to have what looks like 2 channel inputs. It doesn't, many mono's just give you 2 speaker inputs for ease of use, but internally the amp 'bridges' those two inputs into one.

So in your config above almost all of the power would be going to the 2 ohm sub and hardly any to your dual 4s. This is because the 2 2 ohm VCs will have less resistance than your 4 ohm VC (it doesn't matter how you wire it, they'll always be 4 ohm VCs) and power 'gravitates' to the point of lease resistance.

If you absolutely need to mix ohms, then you're better off going with a 2 channel amp. This way 1 channel can power the 2 4 ohm and 1 channel can power your 1 2 ohm. This will prevent all the power from going to your 2 ohm sub. But then you're probably better off sticking with just the 2 4 ohm subs on a mono block.

The other issue, on a SQ level, is your subs will probably play out of phase from each other and could actually lower your bass response. This is because the 2 4ohm and 1 2 ohm won't be moving in perfect rhythm.
