Before you buy anything I would seriously look up some information about these subs before you buy them. Just because they are 18"s and made by JL doesn't mean they are going to be the baddest shit out there. Look up some information and then buy the product. You dont' even know the rms on them. Im not trying to flame you or anything just trying to help you out. Look up the specs, memorize them. Find out how you want to run them, sealed or ported. If ported what are you going to tune them at? How many cubic ft per sub? Figure out all these questions before you ask people what your spl will be. Honestly I wouldn't ask this question. Nobody can give you a correct answer. No systems are exactly alike.

Yes. Like I told you, it all depends on how your box is built and tuned to. What kind of electrical system you have. What kind of amp you have. You must have proper wiring.

I just saw that 12" sub you have only does 300rms. If I were I would sell it. Use that money to help you get a better system with the 18"(s).

that makes no sense if i sold teh 12 and got a 15??? that would stil not be a 18" which everyone said to not do it, so a 15 would still not ne a 18 so it would sound shitty, so... i should get a 18and for anyone, has any of you all heard a diffrent size sub with another?

im going to buy a new amp for the 18's and prob put them in a series in a sealed box for everyday drivin and have a ported box for comp. and i have looked at them in reviews and things they say there good all around spl sq and i just like them becuase they are diffrent not just becuase there jl's. i jkust think they would look awsome in my truck, besides being good subs. also they are 500 rms and i would prob run a little more to them becuase the w3 i have and the w1's i had in the past were under rated in power cababilites.
