Correct Speaker Wattage for Head Unit

I have a JVC KD-R610

--- 50watt X 4channel, peak power out

--- 20watt X 4channel, RMS power out

believe at 4Ohms?

im not looking to upgrade the system right now but im need to replace my rear speakers

what kind of speakers (power) do I need to be compatible with my unit and not blow the speakers??

to my understanding to much or to little will blow the speakers?

Any basic coaxial will be fine. Power handling is not a power requirement. Budget is going to be more important than power handling.

power doesnt matter at all? 100watt vs 200watt speakers isnt going to make a difference?

does power only matter when adding external amps and subs?

Look at the rms handling of each, ignore the max watts on everything. if you have a speaker that handles 40rms and you put 22 to it then youll be fine. give a budget and well pick some out for you.

R rear is blown and no idea where the L rear is (bought the car without the L rear speaker)

guessing since the head unit puts 20rms to each channel and only had 3 lines, the 20rms from missing line went to the other rear speaker causing it to blow?

or is that 20rms for 4th line ghosting?

no it puts 20 to each, it could be bad wires a lot of things.

they are cheap and look like a space ship and they are even name brand.

the power for the left rear is an untapped source at this point. the HU puts out 20 per channel. it doesnt divvy up the extra powa when a channel isnt being used. the only way you combine the power is if you bridge channels... but i dont suggest doing that on a head unit lol
