Cool new part for Sundown Z v.2

do you have pix of the coil and spiders? most co's would just use more or less of the same spiders with the same size coil such as the z and nightshade.

please explain. you going with a 9" spider on the nightsade v2?

These spiders are different than what I've had before on the NS v.1 -- they also have optional double leads.

These coils are what I've tested with so far (in the pics)... I am changing them very slightly for production.

I am trying to figure out how to get a 9" spider on both 15s and 18s for the NS v.2 -- but I don't know if it will be ready for initial production. I am looking at making adapters for the 15" 12-spoke and the 18" 6-spoke already accepts a 9"

I have a 9" spider ring i can send you that fits 12 spoke 15" and 12" baskets. Ill also send you some pics..

Jake, I think you need to tool up your own basket so you can fit whatever spider you need. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It's awesome that you are doing this, should help in both the SQ and SPL markets.

are you putting a collar under the spiders and need that extra clearence?
As promised here are pictures of the triple joint ring (this is why I added 10mm of spacing with the shorting ring) :

* The ridge part faces the winding... gets filled with glue.

* Another view.

Made in Concord, NC from a very high temperature material... takes ~530 degrees to mold it and they tell me that unless I get it up to around 500 or so it won't deform from the formed shape.

Simple part... but should help alot with excessive abuse. I am planning to round the edge that touches the spider as well to keep it from sawing into the spider over time.

Should have testing before much longer... had one production motor sent express to me while I wait on the shipment to make it in... that way I can build up one equal to production and post testing and specs.
