connecting amp without sub

i am waiting for my sub to be shipped to me next week, and in the mean time i would like to get all the wiring doen in my car so when the sub gets here, i can just hook it up. I was wondering if it would be bad, or would have any negative affects to putting in the power, ground, remote, and rcas, in my car, and attaching them to my amp, and running the amp (with out speaker wire) Soem of you may be wondeirng why i would want to run the amp iwthout the sub, but i just want to make sure it works, so when i go to run my sub, i dont find out last minute bummer that my amp is dead, and also it is a Hifonics Brutus bx1500d and it has the cool glowing logo and thgouht it owuld be nice to have that in my car as liek a neon.

Make sure you don't let the (+) and (-) speaker wires touch with the amp on, or you'll either short the fuse, cook the amp, or start a fire.

true, or just not connect them to the amp yet (if the amps in the trunk, or run them if its like under the seat but jus tape up the ends taht would connect to the sub)

Here is the best advice for you... Get the amp install it and getting it working. Once that is done just unplug the remote wire... simple as that. Once the sub comes in hook it up to the amp and plug the remote wire in.

Or just pull the fuse once your done testing... I would hope you'll have a fuse between the amp and the battery.

What are you going to test your amp on? I've seen many amps that light up but don't put out sound. I vote that you hook it up to one of your rear speakers and let it rip... Then post pictures of what's left of the speaker.
