Hi all. I'm upgrading my '05 Xterra system and I feel like the more I read the more confused I'm getting. I already have a Pioneer AVH-4000NEX and a Soundstream Picasso Nano PN5.640D. I also have a box for an 8" woofer that goes under the driver seat, pulled out of another Xterra that had the premium sound system. The amp specs say this:
RMS Power 4Ω 60w x 4ch + 200w
RMS Power 2Ω 80w x 4ch + 350w
RMS Power 4Ω Bridged 160w x 2ch + 350w
There are speakers in all 4 doors and two tweeters in the dash. So when selecting new speakers:
Would I be looking at maybe a component set for the front doors and tweeters, and do they just take up one channel per side?
Is there any benefit to staying at 4 ohms, or is there no reason not to go the 2 ohm route?
