Confused about impedence matching/wiring. Which subs would be best for my amp?

thanks for the info everybody. so i should get the 4 ohm dvc at wire it at 1 ohm from what everybody is saying? So would I actually be able to hear a big difference in this as opposed to 2 ohm dvc wired at 2 ohm load, and about how much longer life would I get out of the amp from doing this?
Do what you like. 1 or 2 ohm would both work. 2 ohm would be more efficient and easier on the amp (though unless you abuse it, it should last a long time either way). the difference between 1 and 2 ohm would likely be

"Box rise" is ONLY for competition and NOT for music or every-day. If you run this amp at .5 it will either constantly go into protect or you will damage it.

I would get 2 Dual 2's and wire to .5 ohm because after box rise you will hopefully be right at around 1 ohm, worst case would be 2 ohm or even higher.
Impedance rise is different for different frequencies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
