components for my f150

hey guys as you can see from my pic i got a single cab f150 and im looking for some components up front . I got a pioneer deh 770 and 2 10'' alpine type e's on 600 watts and im tired of hearing those stock speakers . whats some good 5 1/4 components up front for under $300 ?

alright those 5.25 memphis msyncs with memphis tweeters are looking pretty good but should i put them in the door or get the kickpanel and do that ?

you can go with the boston sl80's. they are a 5.25" comp system in a 6x8 plate made for fords.

I also have an F-150 and just recently purchased the Boston Acoustic SL 80's. Let me tell you they are the best sounding speakers for the price. I thought the brand was overrated and pricey, but they are worth the money. Definitely power them with an external amp. Infinity also makes good speakers. Boston's are in a league of their own. I gaurantee you will not be disappointed. Before I forget, I've also had the Rockford Components, model # P1682s. They are decent and cheaper than the Boston, but sound quality will be sacrificed.

No I haven't, but I've been thinking about picking them up just to hear how good they are. Vifa has a very good reputation among the home audio crowd and the DIY car audio crowd, and these are some of the nicer Vifa MG series drivers. The crossover looks great as well, and has attenuation and what looks like phase adjustments.

I bought them for 302.00, tax included. You get them on Crutchfield for the same price and they include everything you need. The reason I recommend crutchfield is because of the warranty you get. You can also get them on ebay for half the price, but they will not be insured by Boston because they were not purchased from an authorized retailer.
