Component Speakers for 4 ch. amp

Hello Everybody!

I'm hoping someone can help me find some Quality component speakers that will hold up to my amp.

Amp is a Alphasonik PMA4150A, 4 channels @ 150w RMS @4ohms each channel. (600w).

I need a 6.5" component set for front doors, and 5.25" set for rear doors of "04" GMC Sierra X-cab.

don't want to spend more than about $300.00 on each set.

I like my music loud. Classic Rock, Def Lepard, .38 Special, Sammy Hagar, Kid Rock, etc...

The DLS, Rainbow, CDT, Focal, Boston Acoustics, etc. specs don't show to handle this kind of power per channel, set yes. in this price range.

can anyone point me in the right direction?

i'm currently running Dub-Mag series components by audiobahn. they can't handle it.

well, shoot...

I've searched the forum upside down, inside and out.. only 2 way 6.5" and 5.25" components that i think are good quality and can handle the power are the Boston acoustics.

**** expensive too. guess my price range was too low for the good 6.5s.

What the heck? what are the Competion guys running? Just loud *** subs and components that can't match the bass? i'm an older guy at 43, but love great sounding music. will i have to spend $600.00 on front 6.5s and go cheap on the rears?

all this car audio now days, makes my brain scramble..

can someone help me with suggestions?

or should i just get the Infinity Perfect 6.1s for the front, and the Alphasonic PCT5026 5.25 for the rear and hope for the best?

My first post.. darn..Guess i fall right in there with the idiots.

i just want some loud *** speakers for my truck that have good sound quality.

Do not get the Infinity Perfects. If you want to get Infinity then get the Kappa line... Its the middle line but still better. The tweeter is too harsh and the sound out of the mids is not all that impressive by any means... I dont know about the rest of the set up though

I was looking at the MB Quart PCE-216 a few minutes ago, online.

What about those babys? Definatly under 300.00. Cheaper than the Perfects.

Recon the sound quality will be there for the price and still get loud?

Here are some options. You might want to go with the 5.25 and the 6.5 component systems by alphasonik to match your amp, I think they would sound good. One of my buddies has a car audio dealership and he mostly works with alphasonik, seems to really like their stuff a lot.

you might also want to look into CDT. They are kinda known for wantin lots of watts so they take alot easily.

Those AlphasoniK Components JUSt might be worth a try.

I have not heard of anyone trying them, the specs look good, i just wander about sound quality. I e-mailed the tech at Alphasonik about the amp i have, PMA4150A,

and he recommended the 800 series components!! (of course)

he said the amp will do all of the 150w X 4 @ 4ohms, AND do it at 12.6 volts.

I want LOUD sound quality.. (i guess everybody does).

I'm real happy with the Alphasonik PMA2300A amp to 2x 10" 200 series subs.

Just need better components to keep up with them.!!!!!!!

I checked out the HD62 i believe, online.... And have ran MANY searches on here, but not much info about sound quality, and amped power handling..

COME ON, Surely someone has fired them up, Will they ROCK?

Go with MB Quart. I am running the discus models right now and they sound awesome. They can handle a good amount of power, I imagine the ones you mentioned could handle more and sound better!

Image Dynamics CX64's will handle it. Boston Pro's aswell. Out of everything pw91686 listed, the only ones I'd even consider were the Diamonds. Rainbow, Focal, MB Quart and OZ Audio are good aswell.

Honestly, 150w ain't a whole lot. Keep the gain conservative and you should be able to run just about any comp set you want off of it.

Honestly, IMHO that's the best option. Rear aren't needed to begin with, no need to spend much money on them if you do want to run some.
