Component speakers and 2 ways sound horrible

Hi guys

I am in the process of finishing my first install and I've hit a roadblock.I currently have two sets of RF P165-SE up front and two P1650s in the rear doors. And driving them with more then enough power is the P600x4.Currently the speakers are working, There was a static issue caused by a ground loop but I am confident after checking that it is gone. The speakers don't hiss or anything anymore but the problem I find is that the sound quality is horrible. They can get loud but the mid bass I feel is just not present.Holding my ear up to the tweeter it sound muffled and super high pitched( maybe that is fine but I feel like its a bit to much) .And the woofer just feels like its not producing any mid bass. Switching the filter from AP to HP in my opinion makes little difference. Also for my head unit i'm running a 4100NEX but the same issue is consistent with my phone plugged in.If anyone has any advice that would be awesome, Thanks

So would buying baffles and adaptors fix the problem?I just drilled into the door and they fit relatively well but I knew that adaptors and baffles are the best . I was going to have to wait weeks until I could get to testing because of the shipping.Well right now I can say that they sound worse then the stock speakers that were there previously. What would you recommend about the tweeters? Did I perhaps blow them somehow?

If they sound worse than stock speakers you had to have wired something up wrong. Go back and make sure everything is wired correctly first.

As for properly sealing the doors. Get a god sound deadener and apply it to the inside of the doors and the outside covering as many of the factory holes as you can.
