Component set for 95 civic

I was hoping somebody could recommend some components for my 95 civic. They will be running off a Pioneer 6200 hu (speaker amp to be determined) and eventually will be paired with a 15" RE SX (old model //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ) which will be probably running off a AQ1200D. Before I get flamed, I do plan on upgrading my alternator.

Right now I've had my eyes on some alpine SPR-17S components. I am looking to spend under $200, the alpines just seem to be liked by most and I found a good deal on a pair so I was looking at those but am very open to suggestions. I also wouldn't mind if somebody recommended an amp for the speakers. I am hoping to find some speakers/tweets that will install in the stock locations for my car and wasn't sure if the alpines/most speakers would fit.

Thanks for your help, I've done a ton of research - just looking for some final suggestions from some experienced guys. Thanks.

yah, I checked that and crutchfield says the speakers fit, I was a little more concerned about the tweeters in the stock locations. That, and I figured there's bound to be one person that's installed speakers in a 95 civic. lol.

Thanks for the quick reply tho!

6.5's front and rear, accourding to scoche,

Polk audio make some realy decent speakers, the crescendos have had some good reviews recently. Mb quart mkaes some nice budget stuff as well.

If that 95 is anything like my 97 Civic was, you probably don't have jack for mounting depth in the door.

I had an Alpine Type R woofer:

and a CDT TW-25 tweeter:

I used to own a 97 civic and I feel like my 95 has more depth in the door, but I'm gonna pop off the the panel and make sure tonight. Also, the stock tweeter location for my 95 is on the door panel, (not the pillar like I wish it was) so I should have some decent depth there.

Does somebody know the mounting depths for the Crescendos? I can't seem to find it on their website. I feel like I'm leaning more towards them over the Alpines. Can't find anybody saying anything bad about them, and I always like to support smaller companies.

Can anybody comment on their quality versus the apline SPR-17S's? Thanks again for all the help/recommendations!

Ill email Navid and ask about the depth of his crescendos...

I'm trying to stay around $250 so its basically narrowed down to the crescendo or the aq4x90. I don't really see a big difference between the two and they are right around the same price so I'm kinda stumped. Part of me wants to go with crescendo to match the comps but then part wants to go with audioque since I am already planning on getting the 1200d to power my sub. I'm **** near about to flip a coin.

Also, while getting ready to order some amp kits I was wondering if spending the extra $15 on

Car Audio Wire

compared to this:

Car Audio Wire

is even worth it. The only things different are the speaker wire and rca cable.

Same thing with this:

Car Audio Wire

which is $30 more and has different power/ground wire than this:

Car Audio Wire

Thanks again for the help

I say Order from Crescendo, AQ gets enough business.

Id use 1/0 gauge, because you know your going to want to upgrade to a bigger system in the future....save money.

haha, decent reason.

I wasn't sure if you thought the differences between the installation kits (planning on the 4auge for the 4ch and the 1/0 for the mono amp) were worth the price differences. I just don't know if the small differences between each set are worth the extra money.
