Component matching....getting back into the game

Hey guys,

Been lurking for a bit on here, and am finally getting back into the scene, sorta.

I have a F250 crew cab, and am about to pickup a JL stealth box 8w7(still hesitant to get the 13w5v2) and 900/5.

looking for recommendations on what would be the best component options. Looking at the JL C5 5x7s and the 5.25s. Possibly getting a set of each; 5x7 for front, 5.25 for rear.

Im also not familiar with the JL components, and how many I'll need to match with a w7.

Any other routes to look into would be appreciated.

I'm not looking to set off alarms or turn heads, I rarely even put the windows down. I've always had cheap ****, but can now afford something quality. I'm also getting a good Deal on JL equipment.

Head unit is the Pioneer Nex4000. I plan on doing some sound deadening in the doors and under the console as well.

Thanks!

I have 2 pairs of bravox carbon fiber components will let both sets go for 100 shipped. They were 300 dollar sets new. I never used them. But don't have original boxes.

I liked the C5-650 components that I used in my 2012 WRX. IMHO the C5 is a good line whereas I found the ZR line to be overkill for my application.

I'm not a fan of rear speakers for my listening, so I can't help you there. That's generally a personal preference.

since its just an 8, only one pair of comps is needed.

Agreed, one pair will be plenty to match the sound of an 8 as long as you amp them. It's better to focus on front stage because you want the artist to be in front of you, not behind. You can put rears if you want but they're mostly for passengers in the back. If you spend time deadening the doors and amp them properly, fronts will be enough even for the back seat people. It'll be better for imaging too and make you lose yourself in the music on a daily basis lol

Everything will be on a amp. I'm actually using the JL Marine HD900/5.

5x7 or the 5.25s? will the 5x7 give me more mid bass?

Front and rear stage? **** i've been out a while lol. These components are going to be in the doors, and the mids are mounted pretty low on the door frame. will that screw up alot of the sound?

I like bass, but I like alot of mid as well. I want to hear Celina //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
