Midbass

2 8" Orion Cobalts, or JL W0's

Tweeter

4 or 6 Infinity, or MB Quart tweeters

Crossover

2 Infinity x/o's from reference component set.

Powered by (until i can buy something better)

Kraco 140x2 amp.

Let me know ur ideas.

I want really good highs. This way there is one tweet in each corner of the car. the 6 would have 3 on each side running down the side. I think this would create awsome sounds.

sounds like a waste of money, the point is to make it seem like the music at a concert, that is comming from in front of you, not for the back, site, top, bottom, wherever you want to through these tweeters.

Corsica, from most of the stuff you've posted on this forum, I think you're probably a pretty good kid. And, it seems like you are always willing to learn. So, let me tell you this...................If you put 4 or 6 tweeters in the rear of your car it will sound horrible. More is never better. You risk cancellation, phase problems, and it'll probably sound pretty shitty. Audio (for the most part) is recorded in two channel and your staging comes from the front. My recommendation would be take the two midbass drivers xovers and tweets and put em up in the front of the car......WHERE YOU SIT!

Good luck dude.

Well bean i appriciate the compliments man!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D I try to give whatever advice I can and if I dnon't know for sure i try to point them in the right directs. The 6 did sound a bit much. I am gonna ahve to put this comp system in back first then get a new one built for the front, beacuse I already bought the x/os and the 8" (granted one is having its cone fixed {dumb ****ing shipper!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif  }) Anyways after i get my x/os and get my 8" fixed/buy a new pair I'll let u know how they sound.

Ps gonna use 2 tweets and if i really need more highs then i'll go with 4.

I had 4 tweeters in my car because I was running 2 sets of components. Orions 6.5s in the doors and Crossfire SQ 6.5s in kickpanels. The 4 tweets actually made the front staging sound worse. Since my Orion was putting out too much midbass I just disconnect the Orion tweeter off the crossover and run it straight through like a mid bass driver......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Actually sound very good afterwards.

If I do that then I only have Orion 8" in front and tweets on my coaxials in ft. I really think I am going to use the 2 tweets in back. Maybe 4 and of it sux then go back down to 2.

ex. hook up a pair at 0db and another pair at -6db

would that be a good idea or am i just nuts?
i always wondered if that could work

It won't.........Again guys, more is almost never better. My opinion is you don't even need tweeters in the rear. Directional cues are high frequencies and they should come from the front......XIN said it made his stuff sound worse.

Remember, the goal of a good audio system is to make sound as close to the original recording as possible. Imagine yourself at a concert. Where are the speakers? In front right? I'm tellin you, dude putting 4 or 6 or 18 tweeters in the car isn't gonna turn out good.

Tell ya this much bean, i am gonna take a day when i got both my 8" and their enclosure and test, with and with out 2 and 4 tweeters, to see what I get. shoudl be interesting.
