Comparing one 15" type-r to two.....

Should be purchasing everything i need tomorrow, but im contemplating running one or two 15" type-R's now. I want a loud system, but not sure if one of these subs will be enough. If i get two, money for deadening is going to be limited, and i dont want to sound like a tin can in a blender.

What yall think? Just get the two subs and save up for deadening, or will 1 type-r be enough? Going in a ford explorer.

girlfriend surprised me with a type R yesterday, so im kinda stuck on that, its either i stick with the one, or i get a matching one.

When it comes to being loud enough for me. i want it to wake my neighbors before i get into the driveway (it may sound mean, but you dont know my neighbors, f****** @$$holes). Like i said, my concern is it sounding like shit because i wont have enough money right away to have good deadening. It will take me another month or two to get that.

i wouldnt call it a "budget". i can afford everything i need to, except deadening hehe. I can get doors done, but that rear hatch is gonna feel it.....

bleh i think i'll just get two of em, and hopefully score some deadener down the line before too long.

I'm a 21 year old guy who is easy going and I love to party....not some uptight adult...but I hate getting ridiculed for having loud systems when people like you are the reason the ridiculing happens.

What kinda of DVC are they. You said she got you One allready, Is it a 4ohm or 2ohm? It makes a big differance when you buy your amp or amps.

These things are power hungry beast and will ask for more:yumyum:

What type of box are you going to use, Sealed, Ported, Bandpass, Reflex. For max SPL I would go Sealed and a Explorer is a big acustic resonator to boot.

You asked about 4 channel amps A JL or Alpine MRV545 are nice.

If your a cranker on the knob, Go listen to some MBs PCE speakers.

dual 4 ohm. each sub would have its own ported enclosure (im havin a helluva time trying to get that to work lol). i was planning on the MRP-f450, and i was gonna hit up some car audio stores tomorrow before i buy my shtuff. there, i think i got it all hehe
