Comp Speakers

I'll go ahead and suggest the RDS's since someone will eventually: Phoenix Gold RSD 6.5 component's. Just bought a pair myself after doing a couple weeks of research. I haven't got mine installed yet but everyone says that they're a great bang for your buck. $87 shipped. Got mine from audiosavngs.com. Many argue that they're just as good as speakers in the $200-300 range.

Lol, usually a question like that is butchered. Ill just come out and say though that I listen to ALOT of metal and was very pleased with Rainbows SLC line and CDTs ES-Gold line. I have the RSDs mentioned above right now and they are good. The woofer to me has a tinny sound to it though and it kind of bothers me.

any local audio shops near you? would help to demo some stuff before you buy it..

but i have RSD's and love them.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

ahh i hate when people are like that, promote only their stuff...

even if you did pick something random, you could probably sell it here on the forum if you didnt like it..

just make sure they are RSD's or something $100-$150+ price range... then you might get a decent return if you wanted to sell them

Who makes rds?

I was also looking into 6x8's for my 98 Taurus SE. Lots of people suggested getting 6.5's and making an adapter for them out of MDF - so I did. Adapters weren't too difficult to fabricate...I wouldn't call myself very handy but I got it done - takes some time though. Apparently the 6.5's have better sound, plus there are many more options to choose from.
