In all probability, it won't thump terribly hard, no. I've been disappointed with most of the "computer" speakers that I've heard.

My friend has those PC speakers and they're OK. I've never been impressed with PC speakers. I don't think you will get the "thump" you're looking for, but you may like them. My friend thinks they are great, but he wouldn't know SQ if it slapped him in the face!
