got some ?'s(mtx 9500)

hey i was looking and been talking to a few people about either a mtx 9500(s) set up or an l7(s) set up. I was wondering both set up properly wat would be a better everyday street application but yet would still be able to compete if i wanted to. I know this is mostly something that depends on the setup but i have a pretty limited space because i wanna keep my spair tire in my trunk. So i may have to either go with two 12's or a single 15. Which sub or subs would you guys suggest if i was to get either two 12's or a 15 of either the l7's or mtx 9500. Either way they would be in a ported box tuned around 35 hz? With anywhere from a 1000 to 2000 watts pushing them per sub?

Until my amp blew, oh well maybe they'll be louder with more than 300-400w going to them
