CM3 vs. D6 vs. Type R vs. other

i ran a bunch of tdx's, and i am actually happier with the cm3/d3. the d3 sounds much more natural. it is getting 650-700 watts sealed where as the tdx was getting 1200-1400, and the bass from the cm3 is clean, energetic, and full sounding, and gets decently loud. the tdx is an inefficient piece of garbage, so dont even bring your talk over here about those.

I have a 12"Diamond CM3 pushing it with a Ample Audio A1100dx and it sounds great compared to the 10" Audiobahn Immortal i had. Far as missing notes i havent notice that yet and sq is great considering the price for them.

A: of course the Diamond sounds better then the bahn.

B: D9>D6>D3 ; this progression is obvious. Diamond is first and foremost an SQ-oriented company. Their top-of-the-line will undoubtedly sound better than their entry line.

C: i am surprised to see that noone has mentioned the Hype R's TERRIBLE SQ. Type Rs are meant for one thing: affordable SPL.

Go with the single D6. You will not be dissapointed

How about 2 12" Assassins? I know it's not what your originally asked about, but it's in your budget and they get solid reviews. Might be something to consider.

Choosing subs can be a major PITA....
