i need some help, i have one 12 inch power akoustic sub ( ya i kno it aint that great) but i have it in a bandpass box which *****. well i bought a new amp and put it in but i didnt really get wat i had expected out of it so i'm thinking it probably the box. Do u think it would be better for me to go with a sealed or ported encloser?

the sub is

Power Akoustic Fubr-12

700 rms

help would be appreciated. thanks

The Fubr is made for a large ported box. The recommended size is 2.2c/f after displacement. A 4"diamiter port (10.25in long). It can also be safely used in a 1c/f sealed box but it wont be as loud.

You can Email or Call GP Audio and they can make some adjustments to make the enclosure shorter and either deeper or longer on the Glue and screw...

Not at all, amplifiers have gain control to attenuate the output to safe levels.

I've moved this post to installations. Can't work out how to delete it here.
