Choosing a sub for my car...

Hey, I was hoping to get some input on sub choices for my car... I drive a 94 intrepid. I have a ST1500D memphis amp... (1500*1 xohms)

In looking to get some subs that will pound, but still sound nice, they are about equally important to me. Looking to spend anywhere up to 500$US or so for the sub(s). Box not included. This doesnt mean im not open to suggestions to cheaper subs, if anybody has ideas for subs much cheaper thats awesome too. Doesnt matter how many/size of subs, I have a fairly large trunk. Let me know if im being to vague. Thanks for any input.

I see you live in Canada. Have you ever heard of Pentivent from the Canadian Loudspeaker Corp? They have a line of subs called Max. Their flagship sub is the Maxcaliber. Ive seen them in Performance Auto and Sound Magazine. They look impressive and a reveiw I read also sounded excellent. It may be worth it look into that brand. (If you do let me know were I can find them).

well you could look for a dual 4 ohms single 15 and put that sucker in a huge box and be very happy with it
