Chime box for installing aftermarket deck

I have a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier 2-door coupe with manual locks, windows, no alarm, etc. Do I need a chime box to install a Pioneer deck or can I just get a wiring harness?

If the car requires the "chime box", you can bypass it by wiring the ignition wire on the HU harness to a circuit in the car that is

on when the car is in ACC or On. You'll lose the chime when you leave your keys in or lights on though. I've done this many a time.
