Chevy VS. Ford

i dont know. i love some ford products (ie 04 cobra and the new f series tucks) and i love some chevy products (the new sierras, older tahoes, corvette z06) and i love many other products from other companies (hard to beat a nice asian 4 banger for just going from point a to point b).

eh, they all break and they all need to be fixed. i cant choose which one i like best

Chevy wins the half tons except for the new style, which I think is ugly as shit. Ford wins in anything 3/4 ton or bigger.

Cars or SUV's I don't care about.

I own a 1974 Chevy that is in pretty rough condition. The bed is rotting out, the body mounts are shot, floor pans are rusted out etc. But I love that truck because parts are cheap, transmission rebuilt

My other vehicle is my 1985 Cutlass which isn't a Chevy, but they're all the same really. Hard to work on, more electrical and plastic parts such as clips are getting hard to find. However I still love that car and its not too bad on gas. The bad part is the engine is bogged down with too much emissions equipment.

So really, I don't have anything against pre-1985 cars and trucks. But I don't like new fords (with exceptions of trucks) or Chevy's (besides Corvette and the 3500 trucks). Old ford mustangs are beautiful cars that got ruined over the years. But I'd still pic my old Chevy and Oldsmobile over many other cars. Just my 2 cents.

I'm a huge Ford fan but I will admit I do like 1/2 ton Chevy's better. I own an 03 1/2 Ford, its nice but a friend of mine has a chevy 1/2 ton and its freaken nice! Anything larger then a 1/2 is ford all the way!!! My dream truck is an 03-05 Ford 350 with 7.3 Turbo Diesel. Now that is a truck!!!

As far as cars go, I could care less..

Truck > Car

Jon

Ford all the way, never was a car guy or someone who only needed to go from point A to Point B, I grew up driving and love it (started at 5 years old, learned stick at 7 and first time in a class 8 truck was at 14) Ford Trucks all the way. As for basic transportation who cars, face it if your driving a Taurus or a Malibu you most likely don't fully car about what you drive. Corvette is in a league of its own, however being a ford guy I might have to take the 03/04 cobra over a similar year Z06, but I think thats about the only time I would be caught owning a GM product.

Dodge > Chevy > Ford

I bought a 97' Ram 2500, ext cab, long bed, 4x4, V10, in 98' and it still runs as good as the day I bought it. 125,600 miles on it the only thing I had to get done besides regular maintenance (plugs, oil change, air cleaner, etc) was get the ****** rebuilt once cause I was pullen a trailer with a Bulldozer on it from job site to job site all the time, and warranty covered it. No rust, the paints faden a little but I'm just gonna get the truck repainted next year. I know two guys with F250 Powerjokes and I can still outpullem In my dodge with 125k miles on it.

Ford > Dodge > GMC > Chevy

yea I always break it down like that, I don't care if they are the same, GMC still greater than Chevy

Gas... Chevy > Ford > Dodge....driveline is TRASH...

Diesel... Chevy is #1 for the transmissions (Allison) and Dodge is #1 for the engines, and Ford...sorry, bottom of the barrel. If Dodge would have better drivelines, they'd be higher than ford in the gas area as well, but GM remains at the top.
