As long as you wire to the ignition wire, not the 12v constant wire.

Honestly, it would be easier to tap into the fuseblock than to pull the headunit out and splice into it back there.

I'm sure theres an empty spot in the fuseblock that you can use.

i already have the whole dash out also with the hu...but how do you do the fuseblock?...i never heard of that till now...any tutorial?.if you dont mind sir

Well if you have the dash out then by all means do it that way, nothing wrong with it.

Just make sure you tap into the correct wire.

yea i know theres a rear fuse box under my seat....i just wire it on the (+) (redwire) straight to the remote on amp?

switched refers to not a constant 12v. It swithces power when the key is turned to the ign position.

The wire is known as a switched wire. meaning it switches power on and off from the factory. I usually use the pink or white wire. Make sure you test it with a dmm though.
