Jasper not Casper........They are OK.......Id look for something more high perf personally

my friend has a jasper 350 ls1 and its really not very impressive for a crate motor

LS1's are cheap enough now that you could get into one fairly easy and its not a hard swap... Wont have to deal with the optispark anymore either...

this is probably your best choice. it's the most popular engine and you can obtain parts for cheap and makes tons of power easily and they are very simple engines, you can probably get one at the junkyard for 200$ and find some good heads and new pistons and you oughta be good, maybe a new intake and carb or possibly efi

yes! and carb it and build it on your own. that is if you have the time and maybe another car so you can take your time with it! im planning on building an engine for my s10.

good choice. Invest in tires, its just too much fun

What? An LS1 is not a 350cu in motor. I may be assuming, but people throw "LS1" and "350" around like they mean the same thing or are the same motors. They aren't.

Yeah 346 and 350 are really close, but a lot of people/companies use the terms 350/LS1 like they mean the same thing.

You are right they are really different ls1s are aluminium first off most 350s people refer to are cast iron and the mounts are totally different. You cant really use any ls1 part for other motors ls families are the only motors you can use ls1 parts on I know a little bit about the motors just dont really have time or another car to drive while i wait so have to go crate Best price i found so far is 3,050 for a turn key chevy lt1 with performs upgrades cant remember which ones Anyone give my a average quote on stall converter I love Ls1tech.com great site thanks guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

lol sorry i get confused sometimes with all the chevy names, theyre all similar, it gets kinda annoying idk why they just dont go by the engine sizes instead of retarded stuff like lt1 an ls1, idk probably why im into fords and mopars
