Welcome to my build log.. Nothing too special here, 3.65 cube box tuned to 33hz using 4” psp ports. Before I get to a pic or two here is what I’m working with:
Car: 2003 Eclipse GS (Daily Driver)
Electrical: Redtop under the hood, 2 runs of 2/0 welding cable from front to back (setup for 2nd battery, but no battery yet), Big 3 upgraded
Head Unit: Kenwood DNX-7100
Front Stage: 2 sets of 6.5” PG RSD’s – 1 in the doors, and another set mounted in homemade MDF baffles that fill the rear 6x9 speaker holes.
Front Stage Amp: old lanzar optidrive
Sub Stage Amp: Sundown 1500d
Subwoofers: Loaded 12” Fi SSD’s Dual 1 ohm (still need to order)
Sound Dampening: Doors and hatch lid are properly deadened, nothing else
Future Plans: Get a battery for the rear, Buy a new front stage amp, Properly deaden the rest of the hatch, floor, and roof with second skin products. Some day get a bigger sub amp as well…
Here is what I got done so far:
I got the panels cut to size last week and the holes routered out today. Been taking my sweet *** time on this build haha.. I also figured out where to put the 45* angles in my ports to ensure they have enough distance between them and the inside walls. The finished box will be 15” high, 34” wide, and 19” deep, with a double baffle on top (subs up, ports back). With any luck I will clamp and glue a couple pieces together tomorrow. Thanks for looking!
