Even 18"s will "bottom out" free air when pushed. I thought people on here were smarter then this. Put it in a box and then lets see/hear it. I partially agree w/Firtyfwe.

yeah its really strange.. how can a free air sub sound like that with that small amp? hmm i must ask Mr Einstein..he gave me this answer: its called mechanical noise, if the gays dont know that, let them only play 1.500 - 20.000Hz for the rest of their lives..

The problem is teh amount of mechanical noise that sub is giving with how little excursions is happening in that video, the spider is just way too small.

Also, I know Sundown was working on an 8" that used an Arachnid suspension which would easily handle a 3" coil on an 8" driver, but any standard spider on an 8" driver with a 3" coil just won't work.
