I am helping a friend design his system...

(2) JL Audio 12w6 Subs (The old style)

(2) JL Audio 500/1 Amplifiers

http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/13320.pdf

(1) Capacitor (Not sure Exactly what it is yet)

(1) CDT Audio CL-62CF Componant set (For the Front)

(1) Set CDT Audio CL-6CF 6.5s (For the Rear Deck)

(1) Pioneer GM-6300F (To Power the Coaxal Speakers)

(2) Fused Distribution Blocks

(1) 2 aug Wiring Kit

He listens to primarily metal, so we are thinking of building a sealed box.

From what I have read I think 2 gauge power wire with a distribution block and 4 gauge heading to the amps would suffice.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. I will post here what we are thinking as we design the system, and eventually pictures.

I have made a diagram of how I think everything should be wired. Can you guys take a look, and let me know if it all looks good?

a few Questions...

How do I determine what size fuse for the main fuse holder by the battery?

Running the 2 JL Amps the way we are is there an advantage to splitting the RCA wired pre amp or using the RCA Out into the second one?

Please look at my speaker & Power wire sizes, and let me know if I am on the right track.

And do me a favor if you make a suggestion please explain...

As Always Thanks a ton Guys!!!

you dont need a capacitor..
x2 ditch it and get a battery. Caps are for losers, we dont endorse them at all. Slap the cap with baby powder and tell to bounce, get a battery, you can get used ones pretty cheap on the classifieds. 1000wrms isnt alot so you want spend big

Edit: Its does hurt your electrical system, it has to charge putting more strain on your electric and it also dispense quick as hellz. Sale it..

I am not stuck on the cap, it was just free so I figured what the hell...

We are thinking of getting a deep cycle battery to replace the stock one
