Ipod Interface HELP

Hey guys i've got a couple of ipod interface installs to do and not sure how it should be wired. I thought it would basically be a plug and play, but the poor excuse of directions are talking bout needing to incorporate a relay...

XIAH-GM1 (wiring harness adapter, main part of this kit.)

XIAH- D01 (actual interface module, connects the wiring harness to the ipod cord)

XIAH- IPC (S-video-style plugin cord, connects to module and ipod)

Now keep in mind this is going to cause their xm or onstar usually to no longer work. Also, the type of car it's for ( in this case, a GM) is irrelevant, it's the same for every car they have one for.

Anyone done any of these before? i'm kinda in the dark on it. any help would be appreciated!
