no that's what i was saying, no 6.1 for us, and the room is quite large, just the actual viewing space isn't. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the amount of information that the "imaging" of two surround speakers is pretty much the same as having a dedicated rear. denon's newest receiver has 9.1 surround: two mains, one center, two surrounds, two other surrounds that create two channels from the rear in a 6.1, and then two side surrounds = useless.

wats gimmicky?
Don't listen to him..he's pretty much an idiot.

I do have a new Denon receiver. The AVR-3805. It has 2 sets of surround speakers.......not 3. It is 7.1 receiver and the MAIN surrounds have a Aor B setting meaning you can choose between two different types of main surrounds but NOT run them at the same time. The REAR surrounds are what make the 6 & 7 channels of the 7.1. I have a set of rear surrounds and on a regular Dolby Digital sdtk I can't really notice that big of a difference with the rears on but in a movie ecncoded with DTS ES or Dobby Digital EX I can really tell a difference with them on. People can call it gimmicky or as you put it ...worthless....but it is a really nice feature if you have a receiver with great processing. Guess what I'm saying is "don't knock it til you try it". Thats all.

7.1 and 6.1, its not that great

and adam, after your talks on the JLamp you proved you dont know shit so shut the **** up
yeah i know, you cannot tell the difference, that's why i chose not to do it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Why such the large enclosure on the SE15?
NG
As i said, the frequency band it's playin in seemed to have a smoother graph with a larger Vb. not only that but, i needed a more efficient alignment and after some preliminary plotting, this enclosure let's the woofer drop low enough before it bottoms out.

i wanna know what receiver lemans is gonna get to power all this
I honestly know ZERO about receivers as i don't personally like them; they have too many features. I'd rather have a nice pre-amp and a good class A 100wpc SS amplifier, but that isn't for HT //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
