Maybe I'm confused still?

An audio CD consists of one or more stereo tracks stored using 16-bit PCM coding at a sampling rate of 44.1 kHz.

PCM is a "digital representation of a analog sound" so I'm not incorrect in sayng that cd's are analog but can output a digital sound?

What I think I ment overall is that CD only outputs a 2 channel sound whether or not it is digital or analog. Yes it's recorded digitaly/analog from either an analog or digital source but it's only output in a 2 channel output.

Either way, I haven't found a receiver with a digital connection, all of them have the white/red LR inputs.

HK makes great receivers, I have had very very good luck with them however I would NEVER pay that much for a 2 channel receiver, Harmon has a nice refurb store online were I bought my last HT receiver and it has served me very well for 2 years now and kicks arse! I have a very nice 7.1 setup. Refurbed the unit only ran me $390 shipped, while the local fried electronics had it for $999 on the shelf haha.

What most people do not realize is that 90+% of all returned goods have nothing wrong with them, people return they and say it is broken if they want a new one, or general crap like that. + if the item does have an issue, refurbs are usually better quality as the manufacturer fixes any known issues when the item comes in for service.

Also Harman has GREAT customer service, When I received my receiver, it had a damaged rca jack on the back. I called them up and they gave me the address of a local shop that was an authorized repair center. Took the unit over, they had it back to 100% the next day!

I also bought all my JBL HT speakers from the refurb center, all of them are still 100% perfect and I bought them for about $1800 less than local stores had them priced at! And they looked BRAND new, all of them!
