Maybe I'm confused still?
An audio CD consists of one or more stereo tracks stored using 16-bit PCM coding at a sampling rate of 44.1 kHz.
PCM is a "digital representation of a analog sound" so I'm not incorrect in sayng that cd's are analog but can output a digital sound?
