Looks like drum brakes to me too. No problems painting the exterior of them... would be an issue if they painted the interior though!

from the pics I saw, what has been painted, there is no problem with it being painted, and no reason it couldn't be...

yea....thats what I said.....brake drum is fine to paint because, of course, the pads are inside the drum, away from the paint.

Alot of people paint the drums in rear, and paint the front calipers to match

No... Warm "hot" =a motors nightmare. Ever wonder why you car runs better when its cooler or people take it to the strip when it is cooler? Granted more airflow increases cars performance, but on a stock motor? HELL NO. Maybe some gas milage...

I've seen plenty setups where the filter sits nicely in the corner of the engine bay and is covered by a heat sheild, but who cares any location is fine as long as its cold air.

Not when it's covered in dirt like this one. The thing about gauze filters is that if you don't keep them clean, they'll do more harm than good.

And for that I see nowhere stated you said it was a SRI. A SRI isn't a regular intake. Sorry. Only regular intake is the one the car comeswith stock. I don't know if a SRI is stock for that car.

Now if you ever have the chance pop open the hood of a GMC Envoy (4.2L) and tell me what kind of intake that is.
