It is for 4 12's. 7.3 cubes tuned to 33.5hz with 68" of port area. I built it for a guy for his crown vic. He is going to be puttin 4 12" kenwood kfc w3011 subs in it. That is what he told me to build it for so I did. I'm hoping those subs sound decent and I'm sure they will get loud in this box.

You can't see it, but there is another 2x4 on the other side. I wouldn't just put one 2x4 in it.

x2, but suprising loud, I fliped my box since its the same height and depth and fired it up (sub and port) at the trunk lid.

Box looks good.^^^ agree. But some people do not have the money. Hopefully he upgrades sometime.

i would put a brace in between each sub IMO.. but i guess its up to you..

That's what I meant; I could see the other two screw holes. The key to bracing is to couple the widest expanses of each panel to the opposite side, or ideally, to the surrounding four sides via a shelf brace. That means, you need braces between the subs on all sides and above/below the port instead of just aside it.

Also brace the sides to one another and the front and back to one another.

I will see how it does with those subs and hopefully he'll get some better ones. I will look in to the bracing it's just that **** port is right in the middle and I can't exactly do a shelf brace now whoops. I will see if I can conjure something up. Thanks for the advice.

Walls do seem pretty big to be unbraced. I try never to have more then 16" of panel without bracing of some sort. I'd want something on all the walls plus the bottom...

i was liking it until you said you where using kenwood 12"s....and that doesnt seem like much port area but it could just be me.
