cheapest way to add time delay? any ideas?

sorry, I shouldn't knock your equip and I'm strapped for cash as much as the next guy. But the bottom line is that it is very ignorant and obnoxious to knock something that you know nothing about and in the way that you did it. If you research it you will find that it is a real and widely used method in the sq world. If you decide one day to try it then you can comment intelligently pro or con but not the way that you did to this thread because quite simply it makes you look like a joke. It was wrong of me to knock your equipment and I have to admit I know nothing about it so I did the same thing that you did. and why do I want to allter it you asked? Because that is the way I like it.

That removes you from the sq group. You are no longer after sonic transparency, you're now making it worse = retarded. fail

I would have to recommend using an excessively long length of speaker wire going to your rear fill. Using the equation for the speed of electricity in copper wire should give you the approximate value for the length of speaker wire needed for a 20ms delay.

So when I record this concert tomorrow, in one of the premire concert halls in the world, should I make it sound drier than I should because you will add more cheap echo tricks to it later in your car?

Or, if instead you went for a clean and transparent sound then you might get to hear some of the natural concert hall reverb, of one of the premire concert halls in the world, that will be on the recording. I'll let you know when the CD is going to be released.

No. Fail. You need to take a physics class and stop giving technical advice you don't understand.

lol, you are too easy to pick apart. So you're an audio enthusist....... but only at work. You live ocean front but drive a rust bucket. You call yourself some kind of audio engineer but don't have anything outside of work and obviously know very little if anything about the quality of sound or how to achieve it..... yeah........ So you sweep the floors and listen to the "hi fi" equipment while you're working...... how is that enjoyable btw? I work for Nautica and North face but that doesn't make me a clothing designer...... I'm glad you're the 1 that decides who is part of the elite "sq group" that you speak of, now I know who to talk to. Are you even old enough to have a license btw? I have been an enthusist for 15yrs and I can tell you 1st hand that I would rather listen to factory equipment or nothing before I would cheap ***** any day.

Some people just don't know when to give up.
