Cheap Walmart sub. Wow!

Why don't you just grab another one of those and sell the kickers?
Naw... I think the kickers might be carrying this along. I will try the sub by itself though.

What I need is a real sub amp I think. Starting to put together a system and need to stop buying ghetto stuff.

Heres what i have so far:

Rockford 9420 HU ( Not installed yet, Wednesday) Sending the Panasonic back.

Old school RF 100.2 and 55.2 amps ( only one installed.)

Profile 400MSX amp. ( Needs to go)

Two Kicker 15's in a sealed cab.

6.5 pioneer rev's in the front. ( Will go to the back)

Polk 6.5 component set for the front ( Not installed.)

I think this will sound pretty good once its all in with the exception of the sub amp. What do you think?

I am considering a Kenwood mono amp that puts out 500watts 4 ohms. I think this is the way to go.

Its louder but no significantly so. Like not twice as loud.

I think the $90 i spent on this sub and box would be better to go to a more powerful sub amp. The profile's OK but only puts out 200 watts in 4 ohms and 300 in 2 ohms. I was trying to overcome this with more speakers.

I think the kickers would do better with some more wattage.

I think maybe I did notice some cancellation issues while just listening outside. One part of a metallica song has floor toms and they were twice as loud as the bass drum in a particular segment. Sounded weird...

Now someone recommend a sub amp. Only problem is it has to go under the passenger seat. the profile is approx 10x12x2.

You won't actually have any cancellation from this setup. You have a pretty irregular F/R, but inherent cancellation. Regardless, most of what your noticing is the fact that your amp is putting out more power and you have more cone area, it's louder. Get the 2 15's setup properly at 2ohms and you'll find it'll sound better with no real volume decrease.

Na, you are dividing the output by 3 ...
No he's not, the 15s both have single 8ohm voice coils, which are wired to a 4 ohm load. The Pioneer has a single 4 ohm VC, which obviously presents a 4 ohm load. When wired down to 2 ohms, the amp's power will be distributed equally between both 4 ohm loads(150w to each load). Therefore, the Pioneer gets 150w, and the Kickers get 150w total (75w each).

why didn't you save the money yuo spent on that sub and enclosure to save up for a better amp that will get those kickers moving and pounding WAY better than what you have now.
