FYI: That won't be much better than what his friend has now. Two 4 ohm subs wired @ 2 ohms will get 400 watts from that amp.... The same thing his friend has right now!

UPDATE: My friend found out what his amp is. Its a Kenwood KAC-7202. Im guessing his subs arent getting their full rms.

Its for a single type r, so if you get the dual 2 ohm, wire it to 1 ohm and then you'll be doing 600 rms

That Orion HCCA 1200 will become a "may pop" @ 1 ohm in a daily setup! Personally, I wouldn't run any of the budget one ohm capable amps @ 1 ohm for daily use.
