I'm betting the gap is exactly the same, I doubt they would change anything important in the design as far as geometry when ripping off a design as successful as the DD 9500.
There is not a 105 oz (6.5 pounds) magnet (well, motor anyway) difference. My 9500G motor weighs 43 pounds, bare. Fully assembled Konaki is 48 pounds (just weighed them both). The basket / coil / soft parts on the Konaki certainly do not weigh 11.5 pounds -- it is typically 4-5 pounds, exactly the difference from the 9500G motor to the fully assembled Konaki.
Now... some of this weight difference is the fact that the Konaki has more steel in the motor as it doesn't have the cooling channels, but it's not 6.5 pounds worth either... my guess is Konaki lists the magnet weight wrong and/or their back plate is also heavier than DDs and that explains the rest of the weight differential. Either way, the DD design requires a stronger magnet system to achieve the same BL due to the cooling channels, they directly reduce BL... so even if the magnet is slightly bigger the DD design needs it.
We also don't know the differences of steel grades and whatnot going on in there either. There are alot of variables... but by my estimate the total motor weight of the 9500G vs. the Konaki is darn near exactly the same.

But, again, splitting hairs here... it's a DD rip-off without all the cooling and for 1/4 the price... bottom line is the 9500G will handle more power and will hold together better from the factory. You can sure up the Konaki glue and have a pretty loud speaker, but are still stuck with the design flaw regarding the inner roll of the bottom spider inverting itself -- even still you can tear it down and get SPL number close to DD in all but the most extreme power levels (where DDs cooling will win out) for 1/2 the cost even after re-coning.
