So I'm semi planning my dream system. All I need now is to buy most of the stuff which won't take too long, probably a month or two and I'll have it done by summer.
But I want to do this right.
Here are my projected amps
Hifonics 2000D or 1600D
Cal Cell 200w 2 channel
Call Cell 400w 4 Channel
Thump Car audio 250w 2 Channel
Mobile Audio 106ZX 180w 2 channel
(I have everything except the sub amp and I may not need the last 2 amps)
I plan on running the 4gauge that I have now into a distro block the will run 8's to all of the amps except the Hifonics and buying either a 2gauge or a 1/0 gauge for the sub amp.
I drive a Mitsubishi Eclipse 1996 RS 420a and I believe the alt puts out 130amps which I will AT LEAST have respun.
Now what I would like to know is How many and what types of batteries do I need to buy. Also do I NEED to have a bigger ALT and is it worth considering an 18volt system.
Thanks. Let me know if you need more info
Here's the speaker setup
2 Sets of Phoenix gold RSD65cs components with the RSD3 midrange speaker, active crossovers, hence the 8 channels between the 3 amps and possibly another set of RSD 3's in the back
1 Treo Engineering SSX12.22 hence the 2000w amp. I may end up going with a MA audio amp to offset the costs but I still haven't decided if I want to go THAT cheap.
